2023 Girls Jr Dual Team Qualifier

Team Utah Girls will be attending Jr Duals this year! We have not competed at this event for a few years and want to go show the nation what we are capable of! Jr. Duals will take place June 13-17 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Weights for the duals are: 100,106,112,117,122,127,132,138,144,152,164,180,200,225

Junior Duals will now offer a women's greco division along with the freestyle duals. We will take one team to compete in both  freestyle and greco with a limited number of alternates. 

To make the Jr Dual Team:

-Must compete at Utah Freestyle/Greco State APRIL 21-22

     >Winners of the tournament will be offered the spots first. In the case of a 16U and Jr being separate brackets, we will take the higher placing athlete in the Greco division (which is combined). 

-Must have a Full Athlete Membership through USA Wrestling

-Must be willing to wrestle both Freestyle and Greco

-Must be able to make their weight twice (once for Freestyle and once for Greco)- +4lb weight allowance for Greco

After you win Freestyle and Greco State, you will meet with Coach Geneva Gray at the event and given a Jr Duals packet with details. The hope is to have flights purchased and deposits paid by April 25th. Have the conversations with your families about the commitment to Jr Duals prior to the event.

Utah Freestyle and Greco state is also the qualifier for Fargo Nationals in June.  So all athletes looking to wrestle national team should compete at this event.
