Admission will be $10 - this covers for both days
All mats will use a video review system along with the international challenge rules. If a coach chooses to challenge an official's decision, they will throw their block into the ring. The official will review the video. If after reviewing the challenge the official modifies the original decision, the wrestler who requested the challenge will have the challenge block returned and can be used again during the bout. If there is no change then the other wrestler will receive 1 point and the challenging coach will lose their block as well as forfeit the right to challenge calls for the remainder of the match.
To protest a call after the match you must present $50 cash to the tournament director. If you win the protest then you receive the $50 back. If you lose the protest you lose your $50.
All wrestlers in all divisions qualify automatically for the Western Regional Championships in Farmington, Utah in May. Wrestlers can wrestle any weight class they would like at West Regionals. They can wrestle lower or higher than what they wrestled at State.
This tournament is also the official qualifying event for the USA Wrestling 16U & Junior Individual National Championships in Fargo in July. Wrestlers must qualify at the weight at which they intend to compete at the 16U & Junior National Championships in Fargo. The top 4 placers in the 16U and Junior divisions gain automatic qualifying spots for Fargo. There are other ways to qualify for Fargo so even if you don’t place in the top 4 so reach out if you want to attend Fargo but don’t place top 4.
