2024 Youth Super State

2024 Utah Youth Super State Information

Important items for 2024

All wrestlers must wrestle in the grade they are in. Wrestlers can not wrestle in a higher grade than they are in at Youth Super State

ALL GIRLS must register and sign up in the Girls division only. Any wrestler signed up, can only wrestle in one bracket.

Onsite weigh ins: All weigh ins will be conducted onsite. We will offer multiple weigh in options so you can weigh in the same day as competition if you need. You will have the option to weigh in the night before or you can weigh in the same day if you don't want to come to the venue early. Schedule is posted below.

You must weigh in with a competition uniform (singlet or fight short/rash guard) or shorts and a shirt.

Thursday, February 8th

  • 4:00pm-6:30pm (all divisions)

Friday, February 9th

  • 9:30am-10:00am: only for Prek-3rd grade wrestlers
  • 6:30pm-7:00pm: only for 4th-9th grade wrestlers that didn't weigh in on Thursday

Saturday, February 10th

  • 7:00am-7:15am: 6th grade & 7th-9th grade boys only 
  • 9:30am-9:45am:  4th-9th grade girls & 4th & 5th grade boys

Schedule of Events

Friday, February 9th, 2024

(on Friday the following divisions wrestle: Prek-K, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, Girls Prek-k and Girls 1st-3rd grade)

  • 11:00am: doors open to the public
  • 12:00pm: 2nd grade & 3rd grade all weights start wrestling
  • 1:30pm: Prek, K & 1st grade all weights start wrestling
  • 2:30pm: Girls Prek-k & Girls 1st-3rd grade start wrestling
  • 4:00pm: Finals parade and placement matches for all divisions

Saturday, February 10th, 2024

(on Saturday the following divisions wrestle: Girls 4th-6th grade, Girls 7th-9th grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade & 7th-9th grade)

  • 8:00am: doors open to the public
  • 9:00am: 7th-9th grade boys start wrestling
  • 10:00am: 6th grade boys start wrestling
  • 12:00pm: 4th grade boys & 5th grade boys start wrestling
  • 1:00pm: Girls 4th-6th & Girls 7th-9th grade start wrestling
  • 4:00pm: finals parade and placement matches for all divisions above


We will be selling admission tickets at the door for $10 for one day and $15 for two day.  This does not get you on the floor. If you want to get on the floor you must have a USA Wrestling Coaches Card or pay $25 for a floor pass. The $25 floor pass covers your admission. Your Coaches Card/floor pass will give you free admission and floor access. We encourage all those on the floor coaching to have a USA Wrestling Coaches Card.

Coaches Pass

You MUST have a USA Coaches Card to get on the floor and coach, if you have a USA Coaches Card then a coaches pass is free. We will sell floor passes for those parents wanting/needing to get on the floor for $25.


Only Utah residents can participate in Youth Super State. 9th grade boys that participated with their High School after Christmas are not eligible to wrestle in Youth Super State. 9th grade girls can participate in the girls division as long as their High School season is over. You can not participate in a youth event and then go back and participate with the high school. 


Prek-5th grade boys and Prek-6th grade girls: Trophies for 1st thru 6th place with 1st place receiving a 4-foot trophy & custom singlet.

6th-9th grade boys and 7th-9th grade girls: Custom Championship belt and singlet for 1st.  Six inch custom medals for 2nd-6th place.

Entry Fee & Registration Deadline

  • Registration fee of $40 until February 4th. After February 4th the price will increase to $45. Deadline to register is Tuesday, February 6th at 6pm. 
  • Late registration fee is $55 for anyone registering after the Tuesday deadline until noon on Wednesday.
  • Wrestler may enter only one weight class and must compete in the grade division they are currently in.

Format & time periods

Double elimination tournament with no true second matches. Period length will be 1.5-1.5-1.5 for all age groups except Prek-2nd which will be 1-1-1. All consolation periods will be 1-1-1.

*We reserve the right to combine, adjust, or delete any weight classes with 3 or fewer registered wrestlers in order to create matches.  We will always make sure the weight difference is in line with USA Wrestling recommendations before we combine weights.

Table Help

We are in need of table help for 13 tables. Each table needs to have 1 worker at all times. The compensation for each table is $200 per table (you must work both days). If you would like to run a table please contact Jaron Jensen (

Tournament Shirts

You can purchase your tournament shirt on when you register for the tournament. We will also have some shirts onsite to purchase but once we sell out we are out so purchase online to be safe!
