Boys Entry Fee

$575: This Fee covers the boys' varsity (14 wrestlers) and boys JV (14 wrestlers)

-Each team is only able to enter 1 wrestler per weight in the varsity and 1 wrestler per weight in the JV. You can not enter more than 1 wrestler per weight under the $575 entry fee. Additional wrestlers are $25 per wrestler over the 14 per team

$375: If you are only bringing a JV team or Varsity team.

Girls Entry Fee (girls entry fees are paid separate from boys' entry fee)

Girls entry fee will be paid based on the below pricing:

1-2 girls = $75

3-4 girls = $175

5-7 girls = $275

8-14 girls = $375

Over 14 girls = $25 per girl

*Teams can bring multiple girls in the same weight class

Line Up Entry Deadline

Lineups must be posted online by Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00 P.M. (preferably earlier) to www.trackwrestling.com. To post your lineup and seeding criteria you will need to go www.trackwrestling.com and use your assigned username and password that will be sent to you in an email. LINE UPS CAN CHANGE AFTER THE 7th

Head to Head Matchups 

Once the clock strikes 7 P.M. on Monday the 11th, all the teams' rosters will be available for public viewing. At that point you will be able to login and select which opponents your wrestler has beaten head-to-head. This option will only be open during that 24 hour period between 7 P.M. on Monday and 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday. If you have a lineup change between Monday and Friday, please email Jaron Jensen by Friday morning at 7:30 A.M. at Jaron.Utahwrestling@gmail.com. For any other problems, call or text Jaron Jensen.

Weigh In Information

Weight Classifications & Two Pound Weight Allowance

  • Standard NFHS weight classes will be used. Due to the fact that teams entered in the tournament will compete on Wednesday and Thursday immediately preceding the tournament, a two-pound weight allowance will be made for both Friday and Saturday. Weights with the two-pound allowance are: 108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 146, 152, 159, 167, 177, 192, 217, 287.
  • Girls’ weights, girls will also receive a two-pound allowance. Weights with the two-pound allowance are: 102, 107, 112, 117, 122, 127, 132, 137, 142, 147, 157, 172, 192, 237.

On Friday the weigh-in will begin at 8:45 AM. They will be conducted at the main arena floor and will proceed according to NFHS rules. For the Friday weigh-in, teams will be assigned to weigh in with another team with the opposing coaches acting as the officiators. You must use your valid weigh-in sheet assigned by the weight management website. Saturday, the weigh-in will begin at 8:00 am and will be conducted by weight class as indicated by NFHS rules.

Friday - Boys Schedule

  • 8:45am: weigh-ins for boys JV and Varsity
  • 9:40am: Coaches Mtg
  • 10:00am: Wrestling begins for boys varsity and JV for weights 106-144
  • 12:45pm: Wrestling concludes for boys 106-144
  • 1:30pm Wrestling begins for varsity boys & JV boys for weights 150-285
  • 4:15 pm Wrestling concludes for boys 150-285

Friday - Girls Schedule

  • 3:45pm: Weigh ins for girls 
  • 5:30pm: Wrestling begins for girls (will start as soon as brackets are ready after weigh ins).
  • 9:00pm: Wrestling for girls will conclude (we will wrestle no later than 9pm).

Saturday, December 16, 2023

  • 8:00am: weigh ins for boys varsity & JV
  • 9:00am: wrestling begins for boys varsity and JV
  • 10:30am: weigh ins for girls 
  • 12:00pm: wrestling begins for girls
  • 2:00pm: Varsity boys & JV boys finals matches (may start earlier if we are ahead of schedule)
  • 4:00pm: Girls finals begins (may start earlier if we are ahead of schedule).

Seeding

Because of the efficiency of Trackwrestling's seeding algorithm, a seeding meeting will not be necessary. Seeding will be conducted in accordance with the following tournament rules and criteria:

  •  Head coaches are directly responsible to ensure their team rosters and all seeding information is entered on-time and accurately! Wrestlers who have no seeding criteria entered may not be considered for seeding. Any disgruntled parents or competitors will be reminded of the policy and will be referred to the wrestler's head coach.
  • Lineup Deadline: Wednesday, December 6th, 7:00 PM: Lineups and seeding information (grade in school, season win-loss record, big tournament finishes, returning post-season finishes, etc.) must be entered before this Tuesday night deadline. See below for seeding criteria.
  • Head-to-head Matchups Entry Deadline is Monday, December, 11th, 7:00 PM. Only current season head-to-head wins and losses apply. Before entering a head-to-head win for a wrestler, make sure he has indeed beaten any opponents you indicate.
  • Seeding will be finalized by the program and by the tournament directors by Thursday night, December 14th. Following weigh-ins, the weight classes, entries, and seeds will be verified and final brackets will be released.

Seeding will be done by committee with the below guidelines used.

  • 2023 State Tournament Place
  • Current Season Record Wins/Season Record Winning Percentage
  • 2023-24 Season placings
  • Previous Years State Tournament Place
  • 2023 State Qualifier
  • Draw

*In the JV tournament all will be drawn in.

Brackets

Real-time brackets will be available for viewing by coaches and statisticians at Trackwrestling.com.

Coaches Meeting

Coaches Meeting will take place 20 minutes prior to wrestling starting on Friday the 15th

 

Varsity Boys & Girls Awards

Varsity Boys & Girls Awards

  • The top six varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals
  • The top two teams will receive trophies
  • One outstanding wrestler will be named for both boys and girls
  • Top team in each the boys and girls will get 14 custom made singlets

JV Awards

  • The top six varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals
  • The top team will receive a team trophy in the JV event

Parking

Buses should park in the far northeast corner of the north parking lot

Tickets

Ticket prices are as follows for all ages except for 4 and under are free

Day pass = $12 / Tournament pass = $20

Admission will be for the entire day, the arena will not be cleared between rounds. Current Utah or Idaho Activities Assoc. passes will be honored for admission. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free of charge. A reasonable number of team managers and scorekeepers will be admitted without charge
