May 3rd - 4th USAW Utah will be hosting a West Regional Greco-Roman Development Camp with Utah native Cheney Haight. Cheney was a Utah standout before being a top Greco-Roman wrestler representing the United States on the world level. Currently Cheney serves as the National Greco-Roman Developmental Coach at the Olympic Training Center. We have invited Cheney out to run a 2 day training camp for those planning on competing at the West Regional Championships in Herriman May 10th - 11th.  This camp will be a great tune up for those competing the following week and there will be some great content shared by Coach Haight.

On May 30th, 31st & June 1st USA Wrestling-Utah will host a technique camp for wrestlers in 4rd - 12th grades. We will be bringing in some outstanding clinicians that have a ton of knowledge and experience. We are excited about providing a great opportunity for our Utah athletes  to continue to grow and develop.  Each day we will have a different clinician that will instruct for 3 sessions with a lunch break in between.

Green Canyon will be hosting a wrestling clinic and coaches clinic by Troy Steiner on June 21st and 22nd. The coaches clinic will be limited to 50 coaches and the wrestling camp will be limited to 100 wrestlers.

This camp is a training camp for all those attending the Nationals in July. We welcome others that would like to participate and workout with the best in Utah. During this camp we will be working strictly on Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling. There will be absolutely no Folkstyle wrestled. This camp is not meant to get the wrestlers in shape. It’s meant to fine tune their skills and prepare for nationals. Make sure that you’re in shape and ready for camp.

The camp this year will be held at Telos U in Orem, Utah for the boys. We will not have kids stay the night at camp, so you will need to commute to camp each day. You can get a hotel or stay at someone’s house if you want, but that’s up to you. We will provide lunch on the first and second day of camp for the boys. The third day will just be a little snack because it will be a shorter day. Down below you can find the schedule and registration for camp

All coaches of girl's wrestling are invited to come sharpen and learn skills to help your female athletes succeed on and off the mat. Geneva Gray will be hosting a coaching clinic centered around female wrestlers. We will have demonstrations, try it yourself, presentation (power point), lunch, and a section for Q&A. I want for coaches to know how they can better help their athletes, feel supported by me and USA Wrestling Utah, and work together to make Utah Wrestling stronger! 

Lunch will be provided. Bring work out attire, wrestling shoes, and something to take notes. This Clinic will be held at Northridge High School on October 15th from 10am to 3pm.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

1:00pm: Session 2 (Demonstration/Try it yourselves)

I encourage clubs and high schools to bring multiple coaches so everyone is on the same page and can collectively help your programs. I have tiered the pricing to help those programs bringing more coaches.

1 coach = $150

2nd coach = $75 ($225 total)

3rd coach = $50 ($275 total)

4th coach= $25 ($300 total)

We will host this camp at the venue the day before the Turkey Tussle. This camp is open to both boys and girls and will be done on the mats they will wrestle on the following day. Come join Geneva, Dwayne, and Cyler Sanderson for some great technique and instruction!
