Key Team Projections:

WINDSOR vs WASATCH: They know each other very well, the Windsor Coach Vombaur used to coach the Wasps.  Who wins the Rumble?  Likely one of these two.

Layton: Can they make noise at the Rumble?  Barraclough’s absence will be felt, but they should still score a ton of points.

In State vs Out of State In the team and individual races, can the Utah wrestlers hold their own and be dominant?

Ranked or HM Wrestlers:

98: Sage Mortimer, Sefton Douglass, Shayden Taylor, Micheal McKitrick, Dallan Hunsaker, Waylen Pentz, Tristan Smith, Bowdy Larsen, Sam Gallardo.

106: Bridger Ricks, Brock Morris, Brady Parker, Luke VanOrden, Quade Smith, William Korth, Byron Christiansen, Austyn Ennis, Brady Merkley, Jaxon Bearden, Xander Phaturos, Trenton Ward, Justin Kelchen, Tristen Ocana, Hector Martinez.

120: Will Vombaur, River Wardle, Gabriel Talledo, Adrian Marquez, Jarett Jorgenson, Tony Lopez, Scott Robertson, Brian Evans, Layne Shepherd, Jaxon Morlan, Maverick Caldwell, Korby Christiansen, Mitchel Slack.

126: Van Bray, Vance Vombaur, Randon Deets, Tayton Bennett, Mason Denton, Ivan Morris, Deklan Kelly, Dawson Schramm, Wyatt Hone.

132:  Dominick Serrano, Gavin Ayotte, Tyson Humpherys, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Randy Myers, Caleb Armstrong, Sammy Heywood, August Harrison

138: Stockton O’Brien, Donny Profit, Ryker Boyce, Carson Sheets, Oakley Ridge, Ronny Minjarez, Josh Armstrong, Austin Gillette, Jed Lee,.

170: Porter Chamberlain, Brayden Johnson, Jake Jackson, Zack Johnson, Alec Bolingbroke, Tyson Carter, Cody Eaton, Trace Muse, Matthew Stevenson

182: Isaiah Salazar, Connor Bourne, Noah Gallardo, Lucas Cochran, Ryker Blackburn, Ian Arnold, Cole Faust, Merrill Morley

195: Cooper Legas, Hayden Walker, Keegan Bailey, Cash Robb, Bowen Shields, Tate Johnson, Alex Eidem, Louis Williams, Zach Warren, Dawson Woods, Brevan Butterfield

285: Sam Dawe, Ryan Gunn, Tanner Sorenson, David Herring, Gage Sackett, Casey Hudson, Jon Hunt, James Tomasi, Carson Kay, Adrian Alonso

Analysis and Predictions:

98: Can Sage win the Rumble?  Pentz, Smith, and Douglass will try to rain on her parade.

106: Korth, Morris, Ricks, and a group of out of staters should challenge at this weight.

113: Jensen v Parker in the Final

120: River vs Vombaur, can anyone get in their way?

126: There are a couple of guys who could win this tournament.  But none of them will have an easy road.  Bray, Deets, Vombaur, all have a chance, but Schramm, Denton, and others will have something to say about it.

132: Dom Serrano wins 132.  Does he do it against Ayotte again?

138: Stockton O’Brien had to dig into the bag of tricks last year to win the Rumble,   Can Kemmerer’s Proffit push him?

145: Kohler and it’s not close.

152: This one is a weird one.  A couple of out of state kids and a bunch of Utah guys who could win it.  The Parity at 152 is crazy.  Who will rise to the occasion?

160: Isaac techs or pins his way to the top of the podium.  He might be better off going to the UCCU Center.

170:  Edge goes to Chamberlain here, but it’s really any ones game the Wasp vs the Golden eagle in the Semis should be the 5A final.

182: Salazar’s semi last year was a debacle.  This year he should have the best Utah has to offer again.  Can he get his hand raised again?  If he does, it should stick this year, I don’t see that happening twice.  Connor Bourne should make it out of the bottom half.

195: Hayden Walker will bonus point his way through this tournament.  UVU should be paying attention.

220: We should get a repeat of the All-Star Dual.  Can Maika make some adjustments or will Whitaker leave no doubt?

285:  Realistically, this is another weight that is a toss-up.  Look for Ryan Gunn to avenge his loss to Dawe in the Final.
