Delta ended up the runner ups in 2018 at the High School State tournament. They have 6 returning state placers, two of them 2nd place, Jayden  Peterson and Dyllan Broughton. They also have four returning state Qualifiers. Delta has a good chance to get some state champions this year with Bowen Shields coming back into the lineup. He was 2nd in 2017. You could also see Maverick Caldwell make some noise this year, as he was wrestling all summer and competed well at the Cadet and Junior Nationals! 

Can Delta challenge Juab?? That is a tall task considering Juab has 8 returning placers plus incoming freshman Warner in the line up but Delta has a long history of competing for state titles and I expect them to push Juab. If Shields can get that state title and their freshman lightweights can perform I expect the 3A to be a two team race in February.
