A new era begins at Box Elder High School with coach Jed Craner. Can he fill the shoes of the great Coach Mike Ripplinger? Will Box Elder continue as one of the top teams in 5A? How will Box Elder fair losing the best they ever had in Brock Hardy? A lot of questions surround the program with a few keystones of this program gone and new ones taking their place. They return a great group of wrestlers though in 13 returning state qualifiers and 4 returning placers. Their 13 returning qualifiers match them with Wasatch and Maple Mountain.

Incoming freshman Bridger Ricks will add a lot of points to the team as he looks to become Box Elder's 3rd four timer. They have a little log jam at 138-145 so spreading those kids out will be important to maximize their points at state. They have a great group of young talent in Ricks, Romriell, Donaldson, Richards, Lamb, Gaytan and Cochran but for this team to be a title contender those young guys will need to turn state qualifying into state placers.
