Rulon Gardner, Olympic Gold Medalist, is the new coach of Herriman High School.  What that means for the Mustangs is yet to be seen.  Can the American Hero and Greco Superstar translate his acumen into a winning tradition at a Utah High School with one of the best feeder programs in the state?  This first season will tell us a lot but knocking off Pleasant Grove and Layton to win a trophy might be a bigger challenge than any Rulon has faced since Aleksandr Karelin.

Herriman placed 3rd at the 6A State Tournament last year and has a solid squad returning. They will miss the departure of River Wardle to Wasatch but return 3 state placers which include, Gage Ogden (2nd), Tristan Hendrickson (5th) and Mafi Mahuinga (4th). The also pick up 2 freshman which placed at Youth Super State in Jacob Hendrickson (6th) and Jaxon Bearden (3rd).
