Quade Valerio has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for November 6th, 2016.

“Winners aren’t people who never fail, they are people who never give up.”  Perseverance is one of the many assets that Quade has acquired through wrestling.  He has learned to overcome obstacles and to push through when the most difficult of tasks have been set upon him.  He has fierce determination and works hard for every accomplishment.  Quade also has a deep sense of pride and commitment toward his teammates and coaches, and he values the unity of his team.  He is currently a sophomore at Payson High School and absolutely loves wrestling for his Coach, Jeb Clark.  Quade is incredibly talented and has a natural ability to play sports.  He began playing accelerated baseball when he was 8 years old and has thoroughly enjoyed playing for the high school team throughout the past two years.  He has had many influential people in his life that have profoundly shaped who he is today as an athlete and is grateful for each and every one of them.

Quade has many passions in life.  Besides his love for wrestling and baseball, he also shows great zeal for fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors and spending time on his motorcycle.  His father put him on a KTM 50 when he was a mere 3 years old, against his mother’s wishes...lol, and we haven’t been able to peel him off since.  His passion doesn’t stop at hobbies.  He has a heart of gold and cherishes his family and friendships.

Quade further exemplifies determination through maintaining high honors in academics.  He has an intense workload which includes math honors and physics, and he works fervently to maintain his grades.  We are so incredibly proud of each and every goal that he has undertaken and achieved throughout his life.

Quade has formed many friendships throughout the state of Utah due to being involved in the sport programs that are offered.  Along with acquiring friendships, he has learned essential skills and characteristics of becoming a responsible young man.  We are so very thankful for all of the selfless people who dedicate their time and commit to making a profound difference in our youth.  Quade would like to give a special thanks to Jeb Clark, Sam Ford, Ben Marziale, Garritt Elliott, Derek Campbell, Jared Ahlin, Jon Loveless, Zac Loveless, Shane Wilson, Mark Jensen, Colton Cannon, Gary Cannon, Nate Loveless and most of all his father who has always been, and will continue to be, his number one fan.
