Porter Carson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for the week of March 9th, 2016

Porter Carson is 7 years old and is a First-Grader at Taylor Elementary in Payson. He is proud to be a member of the Pride Wrestling club. He's Payson Wrestling's number one fan! He looks forward to the day when he finally gets to be a Lion and wrestle for Payson High School. Porter started wrestling when he was five years old. It was love at first sight for Porter and wrestling. He eats, breaths and drinks wrestling. His greatest accomplishment so far, was taking second at Super State last year (2015). He is proud of all his hard work and every medal that is hanging in his room. He likes to set goals before each match, like trying new moves or working on moves that need improvement. Porter adores his coaches and many wrestling friends. He is very social and looks forward to seeing his buddies every week. Next to wrestling, Porter enjoys being outside, shooting bb guns, horse riding, camping, hunting and being with family. He has a smile everywhere he goes and an infectious personality.
