Byron Christiansen has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for January 27th 2016.

Byron is 12 years old and the student body secretary at his school. The love of wrestling and hard work has always been a part of Byron's life. Byron and his three brothers (and one sister) are blessed to have a wrestling coach for a dad and a mom that allowed them to build a wrestling room in their house.

Byron has enjoyed years of success and years of injury. He counts wins at the Salt Lake Slam and Beehive Brawl as some of his greatest moments. He looks forward to competing at Jr High State this year as he had a broken arm last year.

Byron has two loves - wrestling and rodeo. He is currently leading the state in the saddle bronc steer riding event. Byron works hard and loves to compete. He is a great brother, example and friend. His parents look forward to watching him excel for many years to come.
