Brandon Closson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for January 10th, 2016.
Brandon Micah Closson is a Junior at Pleasant Grove High School and a proud member of the Viking Wrestling Brotherhood.
Because of wrestling, Brandon has been given many opportunities to travel the country and compete. He was the 2012 ASICS Schoolboy Freestyle and Greco National Champion, a 2012 Schoolboy Greco All American, a 2014 National High School Coaches Association All American, placed 2nd at State at 195 lbs, was a 2015 Cadet Greco All American at 195 lbs, placed 5th at Fargo at Cadet Freestyle at 220 lbs, placed 8th at the Walsh Ironman at 220 lbs, and most recently placed 2nd at Reno, becoming a TOC All American at 220 lbs.
Brandon has been blessed to have amazing coaches throughout his wrestling career and he is grateful for the time and sacrifices they have made and continue to make in his behalf. He loves his coaches, his wrestling brothers from all over the state, his Viking brothers, and his wrestling family.
When he isn't wrestling, Brandon likes to hang out with friends and family, coach wrestling, teach his little brother new wrestling moves, tease his 2 sisters, sleep, and EAT!!!
