A group of Utah wrestlers competed at the Virginia Holiday Duals this past weekend in Virginia Beach, Virginia in both the Elementary and Middle School division. This event is considered one of the toughest youth tournaments in  the country and Utah had several wrestlers make their mark and gain All-American status.

The Elementary team from Utah started off with wins over Georgia and North Carolina but fell to Buxton School of Wrestling to place second in their pool. That put them in the Silver pool for the rest of their duals where they defeated Maryland and Texas but fell to Florida, Minions Black and Pennsylvania. Individually Drew Lang (85), Josh Millward (80) and Andrew Jensen all went 9-1 and Will Korth went 8-2 with all four earning All-American honors.

The Junior High team, in their pool, lost to Ohio and California but defeated the Hammerheads to land them in the bronze pool. Once in the bronze pool they went on a 5 dual win streak defeating Minions Green, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Terps Warhawks also from Maryland. That put them in the championship where they fell to Pennsylvania. Individually Tyson Humphreys, Stockton O'brien, Mason Christiansen and Sammy Heywood all went 8-2 while Kade Carlson went 9-1 all four earning All-American status.
