Taylor LaMont (Mapleton, Utah/Champions WC) has been selected as TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Oct. 26, 2015. He has also been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week".

LaMont was the 132-pound champion at the USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals this past weekend.

Currently ranked No. 4 in the nation at 132 pounds by Flowrestling, LaMont capitalized on six straight wins at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa, including a 5-4 win Missouri star Kyran Hagan in the finals, to take home the top prize.

LaMont has an extensive resume in the international styles. He is a three-time U.S. Cadet World Team member with his best showing coming this year in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, placing fifth in Greco-Roman.

In addition, LaMont was a Junior National freestyle champion and Junior National Greco-Roman runner-up in Fargo this year.
