Sandon Stokes has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for September 28th, 2015.

Sandon  started wrestling his freshman year at Cedar High School.  He watched his older brother and decided to give it a try.  He has gone after it ever since, it quickly became his favorite sport above all others.  Other than wrestling he climbs mountains and races mountain bikes. Anything that is hard and has a reward is worth doing for him. He has had to work extra hard to get caught up in wrestling as it’s been extremely competitive in Region 9, and he enjoys every minute of it.  In school he challenges himself in every subject. He puts his time into wrestling and excelling in school. He has incredible drive and determination to succeed.  He has been lucky enough to have Chris Hone as his wrestling coach for the last three years and is very much looking forward to Coach Payne this coming year, his senior year. He placed 5th in the state for the 3A division last year.  He is working hard now this fall and is even more determined to place again this coming high school season.
