Brayden Guthrie has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for September 2nd, 2015.

Brayden is 13 years old, he has two brothers and two sisters.  He has been wrestling since he was 5 years old.  He loves wrestling, football, snowboarding, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Brayden has been on the honor roll for the last two years at Willow Valley Middle School. 

Brayden had a great year in Jr high he went 34-3 finishing up 2nd in Jr. High State.  He also ended up placing 2nd in Freestyle and Greco State. Brayden’s dream is to become a High School State Champion and to continue wrestling in College.  (Iowa Hawkeyes). 

Brayden would like to thank all his coaches for their time, support, dedication and helping him to achieve his dreams: Nick Larsen, Scott Smith, Kurt Falslev, Justus Swensen, Davie Swensen, Bo Roundy, Dusty Lowe, Blair Powell and many others. 

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
