Kade Carlson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for August 10th, 2015.

Kade will be an 8th Grader at St John the Baptist Jr High School in Draper this year.  He has wrestled for many programs over the years and contributes a lot of his success to having so many great coaches.  Some of Kade’s  wrestling accomplishments:

2015 ASICS Schoolboy  Freestyle National Champion – 210llb

2015 ASICS Schoolboy Greco Nationals runner-up -210llb

4x Super State, Jr High State, Middle School State, Freestyle State, Greco State, Rocky Mountain Nationals, Utah Triple Crown.

What Kade enjoys most about wrestling is traveling to out of town tournaments and the friends he has made at trips like the Virginia Holliday Duals and the Indianapolis Schoolboy National Duals.

Kade’s true love is football where hopes to one day play in college.  He is a defensive end, fullback and tight end.  Kade is a great student and excels academically because he knows that at the end of the day education is more important than sports.

When Kade is not wrestling he enjoys Football, lifting weights, Boogie Boarding, Swimming, Disk Golf, Eating, and Video Games.

Those that have coached Kade know how humble and hardworking he is and those things are what have helped him have the success that he has had in life.

Kade wants to thank the coaches from Mt Crest, Skyview, Logan, Smith Brothers, Mettle, Tech, Utah United,  Viewmont and Bountiful Jr High for helping him over the years become a better wrestler.
