Brandon Closson has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for July 17th, 2015.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups and one for the high school and above age group which will include high school, college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

 Brandon Micah Closson is a Junior from Pleasant Grove High School.  He has wrestled at 195 lb for the last 2 seasons.  Some of Brandon's wrestling accomplishments include:

2012 ASICS Schoolboy Freestyle National Champion

2012 ASICS Schoolboy Greco National Champion

2012 Schoolboy Greco All American 

2014 NHSWA Freshman All American - Virginia Beach

2015 Placed 2nd at 195 lb in 5A at State

2015 Cadet Greco All American 

Brandon is also an outstanding football player, dominating as a linebacker and fullback.  Brandon recently tried his hand at basketball and realized quickly that he made the right choice to become a wrestler - he fouled out of the basketball game in 1 minute and 47 seconds.

Brandon is honored to be a member of the Pleasant Grove High School Wrestling Brotherhood.  He loves his teammates and coaches and his wrestling family.  

Brandon loves to read, hang out with friends and family, play games, watch movies, go camping and fishing, wrestle with his little brother, tease his sisters, and most of all...EAT!
