Morgan Palmer has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for April 22nd, 2015.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
 

Morgan Palmer is a wrestler from American Fork High School. Morgan has had many accomplishments this year. Recently he won the 5A State Championship title at 145 pounds. Morgan did not have an easy road to the 1st place finish. He had to beat worthy opponent Dalton Rice in the first round, whom he had previously lost to. He also had to win the divisional champion from Bingham, Luke Davis,  and Jordan Mcrea from Bingham, both excellent wrestlers.  Morgan met up with Wyatt Knowlton from Davis High School in the final match, whom had also previously defeated him. We went over game plans for every match and it paid of at the end. He ended his Senior year on a great note.  Morgan is now able to share the title of  State Champ with his father who was also a State Champ for Tooele High School back in his high school days. 

In addition to wrestling, Morgan  love to hunt, play soccer, and spend time with his hammock homies.
