Jayden and Owen Pentz have been named wrestleutah.com "Athletes of the Week" for April 8th, 2015.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Jayden Pentz (Senior) and Owen Pentz (sophomore) are brothers that wrestle for Morgan High School.  Both boys have been wrestling since they were 4 and 3 years old and love it.

Jayden has been very successful in wrestling.  He became a Fargo All–American last summer. He has placed 3x at High School state, most recently winning the 3A division and becoming a State Champion. He has also been a Super State Finalist 2 years in a row.  Jaden has been named “Outstanding Wrestler” at many tournaments throughout his life.

In addition to wrestling, Jayden loves to work on the family farm in Croydon, and riding his motorcycle. After graduating from high school, Jayden plans to serve an LDS mission, and when he returns he hopes to wrestle in college.

Owen’s biggest accomplishments as a wrestler placing at the High School State Tournament as a freshman ( 4th),  and as a sophomore (2nd).. Owen also won the Utah Super State title this year. He has also received 2 Triple Crowns at the Western Regional tournament.

In addition to wrestling, Owen likes to ride horses. One thing that his family will say about him is that he is very determined. When Owen wants something he goes after it.

Owen plans on wrestling freestyle throughout the summer alongside his brother Jayden. He looks up to Jayden, and they are each other’s biggest fan.

Both young men are extremely hard-working and always willing to lend a helping hand. They are heroes to their younger brothers, and to many of the younger kids in the Morgan club. According to their high school coach, Dustin Rock, “Both are outstanding wrestlers and outstanding leaders.”
