Chance Bundy has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for March 11th, 2015.
Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group which will include high school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
Chance is a sophomore at Desert Hills High school. This season Chance took 2nd at Southern Divisional's and 3rd at the 3A State Championships. He also won his first high school tournament, the Sand Devil Wrestling Classic in Page, Arizona. Awarded outstanding lightweight wrestler.
Chance got a bit of a late start in wrestling. Three and a half year's ago his little brother brought home a flyer for Little League Wrestling. Since then there's been ups and downs, but he continues to improve.
Chance is a hard worker. Whether it's wrestling, branding calves or hauling hay, you can always count on him to give his best effort. Also, don't tell Chance he CAN'T, because he is very determined.
Chance joined USA Wrestling this year to wrestle the spring season to help him improve as a wrestler and to help him accomplish a goal or two he has set.
His family is very proud of him. He is an outstanding young man.
