USA Wrestling Utah would like to welcome Trint Richins on board. Trint was recently hired as the new Director of Events and will be a major player in the execution of the many tournaments held throughout the year and throughout the state. Trint is very qualified for this position and will be a great addition to this organization.

Trint is from Roosevelt, Utah. He has been married to his wife Nichelle since 1998, and has four children, two teenage daughters Oakley (16) and Cambry (15), and two sons Easton (12) and Weston (8) who both wrestle.

Trint attended Pleasant Grove and Mt View High Schools, and then completed an apprenticeship at Utah Valley University in HVAC. He has owned and operated a successful Heating and Air conditioning company since 2004.

Trint has served on the USA Wrestling Utah board for about two years now helping with tournaments and helping with “USA Wrestling Utah's Athlete of the Week. He has done a phenomenal job and is a valued member of the board.

Trint started the Cougar Den Wrestling Club in 2013. He is currently heavily involved as a coach for the club, but the club is now run by a board of directors, who according to him, “are some of the most awesome giving people around. There's no way that it could run without them. We also have some of the most committed coaches that spend a great deal of their time and energy for the betterment of our club.”

In addition to coaching for the Cougar Den Club, Trint also coaches the Roosevelt Jr High wrestling team. He is also a huge fan and very seldom misses a big tournament whether it's youth, high school, college, or at the world level. In addition to wrestling, Trint is an avid hunter and enjoys golfing.

Trint wants you all to know, “I love the wrestling community, I love the family, the friends, the coaches, and the athletes. I believe that Utah wrestling is growing and heading in a direction that will produce some of the top wrestling athletes in the world, and I am so excited to be a part of that. I love to plan and organize big events, and fundraisers, and I'm extremely fortunate to have found a career that will allow me to do that full time, and in something that I absolutely love.”
