Tucker Tomlinson

Tucker Tomlinson has been named " High School Athlete of the Week" for February 18th, 2015. 

Each week, will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Tucker Tomlinson is 16 years old, a sophomore at Uintah High School. Tucker likes to wrestle year round, and he has been on the Utah National Team. Tucker was runner up at Asic National Greco & Freestyle Tournament in 2013, 3x Greco and  2x Freestyle State Champion, 1x Super State Champion, 1x runner up, 2015 Region and Divisional Champion, 3rd at  Utah 3A 152 State for 2015, 3 time runner up at Jr.  High State, and 3x Beehive brawl Champion along with 2x Salt Lake Slam Champion. Tucker is a graduate of the J Rob 28 day intensive camp this past summer. 

When Tucker is not wrestling he helps with the family farm and all the extras of being raised on a farm. Tucker enjoys hunting and fishing along with camping and shooting his bow and guns.

He is taking 3 weeks off to do other things he enjoys like horn hunting and riding his horse. He will then start back up into Greco and Freestyle year.

Tucker has made friends through out this country through the years. He enjoys the friendships he has made with all the wrestlers. He is looking forward to helping coach the Tiger League team this year. Tucker has great ability with young children and has many basin boys who look up to him. 

Tucker would like to thank his team mates at Uintah High for the hard fought battles for the year and his coaches for all their time and effort to make him successful. After high school Tucker would hope to serve a mission and then go on to college to further his education and wrestling career.
