Matt Lee has been named wrestleutah.com " High School Athlete of the Week" for January 21st, 2015. 

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Matt attends South Summit High School where he is a junior. He currently has a 3.4 GPA. He is very passionate about all things outdoors. If he is not on the wrestling mat, you will find him on the mountain behind his house.

 He is a 2X state champion and has set the very lofty goal to become South Summit's second 4X state champion in over a hundred years. His current record is 31-5. Matt also has a love for football where his team holds a back-to-back state title.

 Matt plans to serve an LDS mission after graduation. He then hopes to return and wrestle at the collegiate level, and get a degree in engineering.
