Cael Skewes has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for January 14th, 2015.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Cael Skewes is a 12 year old 7th Grader at Duchesne High School. He is an honor student who likes to do his best in his academics.

 Cael is a 2x 1A-2A-3A  Jr High State Champion. He was runner up at the Salt Lake Slam in 2014, and A Champion in the Middle School division at 70lbs in 2015. He enjoys the competition that wrestling brings to the table. The whole process of practice, of learning new things and then trying them in competition. His favorite position in a match is in the neutral position. He is a hard worker in the wrestling room that sometimes needs a boost from coaches. One of his favorite things about wrestling is making friends from around the state and other places.

 Some of his other hobbies include, hunting, fishing, and trapping. Riding horses and Mountain Biking with his family. He also likes running obstacle course races like the Spartan race. His goal is to some day wrestle in college.
