Keondre Polanco has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for January 7th, 2015.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

 Keondre Polanco is 11 years old, he goes by Dre, or Duck. He's currently a student at Westvale Elementary. Dre is a very determined and competitive kid.

 Dre always wants to be first and the best at everything that he does. This is Keondre's first year wrestling, and he really likes it because it challenges him. He has a strong desire to achieve his goal of earning a scholarship to the University of Oregon.

 Keondre also loves to play little league football in the summertime. He plays for the Jordan Beetdiggers as a Quarterback and a Running Back. He Loves hanging out with his family and friends, playing video games and watching sports. His favorite saying which keeps him motivated is "Work hard, play hard". Keondre is a true fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Oregon Ducks.
