Andrew Anderson

 Andrew Anderson has been named wrestleutah.com " High School Athlete of the Week" for January 7th 2015. 

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high  school  and above  age group  which will include high  school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Andrew is a senior at Mountain Crest High School. He Has a GPA of 3.5. He is the son of Marshall Anderson and Paula Anderson. He is very fun, friendly, and outgoing. Andrew played football for the Mustangs and has been varsity since he was a sophomore, he played defensive end. His family loves supporting him in his sports and watching him. They especially love to support him in wrestling and his sister has been one of the wrestling managers last year and again this year.

 Andrew has many goals and achievements; he is planning to play college football.  He took first place in wrestling at Super State as a freshman. He placed sixth at state as a sophomore, and fifth at state as a junior. He was happy to be a part of the 4A State Champion Mountain Crest team last year. His record this year is 26-0. He was undefeated at the Wasatch and Syracuse duals and first place at the Viewmont tournament this year.  He was in the All-Star Match this year as well. His favorite wrestling moves are the double leg and the half nelson.

Andrew is a very hard worker and loves being in the outdoors. He enjoys Kendama, fishing, fly fishing, and hunting. He also loves to help his friends on their ranch, and help his grandparents with projects as well. He is very handy and helps his mom a lot. He is a very well rounded young man and seeks to excel.
