OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University head wrestling coach Greg Williams announced on Wednesday the signing of Chase Call (Shelley, Idaho) to a National Letter of Intent. Call will begin wrestling for the Wolverines next fall.
 
"We're really excited to have Chase Call coming into the program. He'll be one of four guys that will be coming in next fall," said Williams. "He's an excellent student, a hard worker on the mat and has a lot of confidence. He, along with the other three, will definitely make a difference in the program."
 
Call is a two-time Idaho State Champion for Shelly High School in Shelley, Idaho. He was also named the Wrestler of the Year by the Idaho State Journal in 2013.
 
Call, who is currently serving a mission for the LDS Church in Florida, won over 200 matches in his high school career while posting just 14 losses. The Shelley, Idaho, native will join the UVU wrestling program prior to the 2015-16 season.
