9 Equalizer Champions Crowned Saturday at The Equalizer

This past weekend nine Equalizer champions were crowned and received the Orem Mazda Equalizer trophy. Each weight in the 7th-9th grade division was paired with another weight class and the winners of both weight class wrestled for a chance to win the Orem Mazda Equalizer Trophy.  Here are your nine Equalizer Champions:

  • 70/75: Cael Skewes of Duchesne
  • 80/85: Oakley Ridge of Mettle Wrestling
  • 90/95: Cole Zorn of Mettle Wrestling
  • 100/105: Jesse Vasquez of JDTC (California)
  • 110/115: Zak Kohler of Wasatch
  • 120/125: Wyatt Harmon of Juab
  • 130/138: Isaac Wilcox of Mettle Wrestling
  • 170/185: Tanner Moon of Uintah
  • 210/285: Keegan Wilkinson of Pleasant Grove

Next year the 5th-6th grade division and possibly others will be added to the participate in the Equalizer Challenge. The team race was also down to the wire with Mettle wrestling taking home the team title. Top five teams are:
