Ben Anderson has been named wrestleutah.com " High School Athlete of the Week" for November 5th 2014. Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group  which will include high school, college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

 Benjamin Anderson is a Junior at Pleasant Grove High School, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA. He is the son of Brett and Melody Anderson, and brother to: Shaylene, Amanda, Josh and a fat English Bulldog named Sis. Ben has been wrestling since he was in the fourth grade, and loves the sport of wrestling. His favorite part of wrestling is the constant preparation and hard work that goes into the sport in order to earn success. In addition to wrestling, Ben loves to flyfish and to cook. Ben plans to serve a two year mission for the LDS church after he graduates from high school.

 Ben is a 2-time Utah High School state champion having won state championships his freshman and sophomore years. He has set goals to be a 4 time state champion in the state of Utah and to be a D1 All-American in college. In addition to his success in the state of Utah, Ben is a 2-time High School All-American, having placed his Freshman and Sophomore years at the NHSCA High School National Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He also earned All-American status this past summer in Fargo, North Dakota, where he placed 4th in the USA Wrestling Freestyle National Championships.

 Ben has been a member of the Utah National Team a number of times. He loves wrestling in out-of-state National tournaments and working and associating with his teammates and coaches at these events. Ben is grateful for what the sport of wrestling has taught him, in particular, for all that he has learned from his current and former coaches and teammates.
