Tyler Stevenson has been named wrestleutah.com " High School Athlete of the Week" for October 26th 2014. Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group  which will include high school, college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

Tyler Stevenson is currently a senior at Desert Hills High School (St. George) where he has wrestled for the past three seasons. Tyler has two brothers who have also wrestled for Desert Hills. Cody, Tyler's twin brother, training partner, and best friend, is also a senior at DHHS. Kalob, Tyler's older brother, is serving an LDS mission in Cali, Colombia and will return on January 7th, 2015. Tyler is looking forward to having Kalob being home to watch him wrestle his senior year.

Tyler is a two time Utah State Finalist at 220 lbs. He placed second his sophomore year and was Utah State Champion his junior year, finishing the season with a 50-2 record. Tyler competed this past summer in the Western Jr. Duals in Pocatello, Idaho and the Greco & Freestyle National Championships in Fargo, ND. Tyler feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to train and learn from some of the best coaches and wrestlers in the state of Utah in preparation for those tournaments.
