Wolverine wrestling fans will get their first look at the 2014-2015 wrestling squad Wednesday night, October 29th in an Intrasquad Dual to be held on campus at the PE building at 6:30 pm.  The UVU wrestling team would like to welcome fans, friends, and family to attend this friendly dual.  According to UVU head wrestling coach, Greg Williams, spectators can expect some exciting match ups, including the highly credentialed Jed Mellen, from Payson, Utah going up against the equally talented junior from Montana, Jade Rauser.  Rumor has it we may see former Weber High teammates and very close friends Bracken Nipko and Derek Malan wrestling each other, as well as Adam Fager versus Dustin Dennison, both 2x Utah State Champs and UVU starters. It’s sure to be a night of exciting wrestling.

UVU’s season will officially begin on November 2nd in Clarion, Pennsylvania where wrestlers will compete at the Clarion Open.  The first matches won’t happen until January 10th when Utah Valley hosts the UVU Open.
