For the past 8 weeks, wrestlers from all over the state have gathered together in the UVU wrestling room on Saturday mornings for Fall League Wrestling. 2014 Fall League was a great success, having the biggest turnout yet.  Younger wrestlers started out the day with competitive matches, and ended with a 30 minute clinic geared towards competitors of all ages. High school aged wrestlers joined the younger wrestlers for the clinics taught by Erkin Tadzhimetov, Ethen Lofthouse, and Greg Williams, and ended with competitive matches.  There is no doubt that the athletes who participated in Fall League Wrestling are warmed up and ready to go this upcoming season.

     Coming up this Saturday, October 25th, is the West Regional Pre-Season Open to be held at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, Utah. This tournament will mark the end of Fall League Wrestling and the beginning of the winter season tournaments here in Utah.  The registration deadline for this tournament is Thursday, October 23rd at 5:00 pm, and weigh-ins will be held Thursday evening at satellite locations listed on the website.  USA cards must be purchased prior to registration and this can be done by visiting www.themat.com.  The Prek-9th grade session will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the 9th-12th grade session will run from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.  We anticipate a great turn out with excellent wrestlers coming from all over the state and even some out-of-state participants.
