Three new board members were elected to the USA Wrestling Utah board of directors on September 23rd. The three new members elected to the board are; Kristen Korth, Brad Findlay and Colby Jacobson. Each year at the General Member's Meeting elections to get on the board take place. Next year's meeting will be in September of 2015. 

Also during this meeting it was passed to move the board of directors for USA Wrestling Utah from 17 to 19 members. The upcoming schedule was also gone over which can be seen on the website. Two bronze clinics will be held this upcoming year for coaches with the first one being held on February 20th at Layton High School. 

Before the General Members meeting took place the annual Junior High meeting was held. The upcoming Junior High season was gone over and it was proposed and passed that at the Northern Sate Tournament team trophies will be awarded to the top 2 Junior High teams and the top 2 club teams for the Junior High division and the top 2 teams in the Middle School division. This addition will bring back the team component of the event. 

The Youth Super State Tournament was brought up and it was proposed that a JV State Tournament be incorporated into the event which would mean all 9th graders that participated with their high school team would need to compete in the JV State Tournament instead of the 7th-9th grade division for the Youth Super State Tournament. The addition of a JV state tournament would give all those wrestlers that are not able to compete in the High School State Tournament a state tournament that they can work towards. After being proposed it was voted upon and passed that we look into adding this event and if possible add the division. If added, it would be added this coming year in February 2015.
