Brooks Robinson

Brooks Robinson has been named wrestleutah.com " High School Athlete of the Week" for September 9th 2014.

Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group  which will include high school ,college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.

"I don't really do anything but wrestle in my free time, but when I'm not wrestling I like to take time and do pottery, go for drives up the canyon, take pictures of everything, and making food!"  Brooks also loves being outdoors, having fun whether its fishing, camping or whatever he can do outside.
 Brooks is an eagle scout, and has a total of 31 merit badges.
He graduated from Maple Mountain high school, and has signed with Utah Valley University to wrestle in college. In August he was called to serve an LDS mission in St. Louis Missouri. "I love the gospel and everything it has given me."

Brooks is a 4x Greco Roman state champ and 3x Greco Roman All American, "It's my favorite style to wrestle." He was a Fargo National Champion this year, and last year he earned a runner up finish.  At the Fila Cadet Nationals, he was runner up in Greco, he was on the USA Pan American team where he earned a Silver in Greco and Gold in freestyle at the Pan American Championships in Columbia. In folkstyle he was a Jr High State Champion. In High School he placed 3rd his sophomore and senior years, and he is a two time All American. Brooks has won 2 Freestyle State titles and In 2012 he was a Western Regional Triple Crown winner at 138 pounds.
