Kaden Ercanbrack has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for September 9th 2014.
Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group which will include high school , college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based upon performance within wrestling that week.
Kaden Moreno Ercanbrack is a 5th grader at Red Cliffs Elementary. He lives in Levan, Utah, and is the second oldest of five kids. Kaden does well in school and his favorite subjects are math, science, and P.E. Kaden sometimes goes by the nickname Funsize, thanks Gentry, because of his size and also because he is always having a good time. Kaden is a kind, dedicated, loyal, stubborn, fun, and hard working kid. Kaden is a 1st generation wrestler and started wrestling because he went to a clinic put on by the Juab High School wrestling team and fell in love with it. He hasn't stopped since and started competing in tournaments when he was in Kindergarten.
Kaden wrestles for Champions Wrestling Club and Fortius Wrestling Club. He is growing as a wrestler and learning so much thanks to all of his coaches. Kaden completed his first full year wrestling all three styles and loved it. He won a Gold medal at the Utah Summer Games, he took 5th place at his very first Freestyle State and is looking to improve in all styles of wrestling this year. He participated in Western Regionals and Kids Nationals this year also. He is setting goals for this season and has already started working to reach those goals. Right now Kaden is enjoying working on his technique and conditioning with the BRob Swags (Brooks Robinson). He loves to watch all levels of wrestling and looks up to the older wrestlers that he can learn from. He eats, sleeps, and lives for wrestling!
When Kaden isn't wrestling he enjoys being with friends, playing flag football, and lifting his Bulgarian bag. Kaden is a Webelos Scout and will receive his Arrow of Light at the end of this month. Kaden's favorite saying is: "You'll pass out before you die" so he always says bring it on!!!
