120 Pound Preseason All-Class Ranking

Bear River senior and standout Nickolas Bingham begins the season ranked number one at 120 pounds. Nickolas is a returning State Champion at 113 pounds in the 3A division. With only three losses last year Nick looks to better that with an undefeated senior campaign and his second state title. Coming in at #2 is Maple Mountain's Tanner Cox. Cox is also a returning state champion at 113 pounds in the  4A division. This should be a great battle between the two for the state's top spot.

Our third state champion at this weight is Nelson Jones from Pleasant Grove. Nelson won the 106 pound division in the 5A and comes in ranked #3 to start the season. It will be interesting to see exactly where Jones and Levin end up in the Pleasant Grove line-up, both are horses and with Levin currently ranked #1 at 113 pounds Pleasant Grove should be tough to beat at whatever weights those two wrestle. Braiden Parker from Wasatch comes in at #4 and is our fourth state champion at this weight class.

One of the more underrated wrestlers in the state comes in at #5; Karther Knight of Mountain Crest. Karther finished 4th at the state tournament last year but during the season he did have a win over Tanner Cox and lost in overtime to Cox in the semifinals at state. Karther also had some close loses to Bingham so he will be right there in the mix at 120 pounds. Ocana has been working hard in the off season and will end up at 113 pounds or 120 pounds. Braxton came 3rd at state in 2014. He will need to get that big win to move up the rankings but has the ability to move up quickly.

Weber's Heston Woolsey is ranked #7. Woolsey placed 4th in state at 113 pounds in the 5A division. He dropped a close 3-2 decision to Ocana in the third and fourth place match. Heston has some good wins this offseason and will look to continue on that momentum going into the 2014-2015 season. Carlitos Nava from Morgan didn't place as high as he would have liked at the state tournament but his offseason success has given him a #8 ranking to start the season. He beat state champion Woolstenhulme at the Super State Tournament and has wins over Tanner Benedict, Kade Evans, Jace Tilley, Taylor Porath and Corbin Smith this off season.

Tanner Memmott from Juab comes in at #9 after a great state tournament placing 2nd in the 3A division with a win over Cameron Dickinson. Paden Woolstenhulme, the returning 2A State Champion, didn't have all the wins during the season but came up big when it mattered winning the 2A state title as a sophomore and earns the #10 spot.
