We are going to start getting the Preseason Rankings released so make sure to continue to check back as we will release them over the next couple months. Before you read these rankings remember they are preseason rankings and that is all. Many kids are still competing so it is easier to see where they might wrestle next year while others are not and we have no idea what weight they will be wrestling next year so it is a complete guess.

We do welcome feedback but please remember we do these for fun and that is all, these rankings determine absolutely zero state placements and/or tournament placings.

106 pounds

This is a tough weight to rank especially for preseason rankings as we don't know who will stay at 106lbs and who will be moving up to 113lbs or even 120lbs. Our top spot goes to Kade Evans from Davis High School. Kade is a returning state placer in the 5A division and will be a Senior. Assuming he can make this weight he is the clear favorite to hold that top spot. Brandon Meikel comes in at number 2. Brandon was way undersized throughout his freshman season but still managed to qualify for state. Brandon has been putting on the weight this off season and should be up to weight and may even have to lose a little weight to get down to 106 pounds come November. Derek Fisher and Jake Holbrook come in at #3 and #4 as both were state qualifiers last year and look to win state championships this upcoming year. Coby Vandertoolen was one match away from placing at state last year and comes in ranked at #5. Another State Qualifier in Holden Richards starts the year ranked at #6. #7 will go to Wasatch's Trevor Cluff with #8 going to Colten Eden of Syracuse.
