Kaden Campbell has been named wrestleutah.com "Athlete of the Week" for March 19th, 2014.
Each week, wrestleutah.com will select two "Athletes of the Week." One for the PreK-9th grade age groups, and one for the high school and above age group which will include high school, college, coaches and teams. The selection committee will consider and choose from nominees based on performance within wrestling that week.
Kaden ended his high school career placing all four years at state (3rd, 6th, 2nd, and 2nd). This year he won 45 matches and lost to only two wrestlers. He defeated this years 1A, 2A, 3A, and 5A reigning state champions. He won 4 outstanding wrestler awards and 2 undefeated wrestler awards. He was the region and divisional champion. Kaden plans on wrestling in college next year and has two campus visits in Wyoming and Arizona during the next two weeks and then will be deciding whom he would like to wrestle for. He is really excited to wrestle in college and he is working out daily and hitting the weights hard to get prepared for the next level. He will also be traveling to Iowa for High School Nationals in April. Kaden has really concentrated on his grades the last two years averaging a 3.5 GPA. He will also be retaking the ACT next month.
