Wasatch sits in 5A now as a top team as teams like Uintah, Payson, & Stansbury move down to 4A. With a strong culture and tradition of wrestling in Heber City decades old Wasatch has a community that loves wrestling and loves to win. It has been a few years since a team like Wasatch has brought home a team trophy. Currently, there is a new Sheriff in town in Heber City and the Discher Era and is over. Coach Discher did a lot a incredible things to develop teams in the past and now the baton has been passed to Coach Kamron Day. Coach Day has spent the last few years living in the community and working with this team and is excited about the new challenge and opportunity ahead of him. They sit in 2nd place in the UHSAA Pairings shy just 6 1/2 points. Definitely not a wide margin and a great opportunity to bring a trophy to Wasatch High School.
8 Returning State Placers & 3 State Finalist.
Will Wasatch be the team on top come February? Will Spanish Fork prevail with their best team in years? Will there be another Darkhorse from somewhere else?
