Copper Hills High School Girls Wrestling Team Preview

The Copper Hills Grizzlies girls wrestling team is looking to build on their success from last season, when they finished as the state runner-up. The team returns several key wrestlers, including three-time state champion Brooklyn Pace (120 pounds) and state placers Kara Noyce (135 pounds) and Kimberlynn Fowers (145 pounds).

Pace is a senior who is looking to defend her title yet again in 2023/24. She is a dominant wrestler who is always a contender for the title. Noyce is a senior who placed 3rd in state last year. She is a talented wrestler who is always working hard. Fowers is a senior who placed 4th in state last year. She is a tough wrestler who is always looking to improve.

In addition to Pace, Noyce, and Fowers, the Grizzlies also have several other wrestlers who are capable of placing at state. These wrestlers include:

  • Myah French (105 pounds): French is a junior who is a state placer.
  • Gloria Hill (110 pounds): Hill is a junior who is a state qualifier.  
  • Daisy Garcia (125 pounds): Garcia is a junior who is a state qualifier. She is a tough wrestler who is always willing to learn.
  • Elizabeth Lemon (140 pounds): Lemon is a senior who is a state qualifier.
  • Sophia Peck (155 pounds): Peck is a junior who is a state qualifier.
  • Grace Peck (170 pounds): Peck is a senior who is a state qualifier.

The Grizzlies are under the direction of head coach Scott Pace. Pace is a charismatic and passionate coach who is dedicated to helping his wrestlers succeed.

The Grizzlies are looking to build on their success from last season and win the state championship in 2023. They have a diverse team with a lot of potential, and they will be a team to watch this season.
