Mountain Crest High School Girls Wrestling Team Preview

The Mountain Crest High School girls wrestling team is coming off a successful 2022-2023 season, in which they won their third consecutive 4A state championship. The team is led by head coach Susan Dart, who has been with the program for 3 years.

The Lady Mustangs return a number of key wrestlers from last year's team, including:

  • Matee Turnbow: A 2x state champion at 110 pounds, Turnbow is a junior this year who is always up for a challenge.
  • Jaci Shock: A 2x state champion at 120 pounds, Shock is a junior and an explosive athletes with an affinity to score early and often.
  • Easton Nyman: A 2x state champion at 130 pounds, Nyman is a senior with a great work ethic and a there is always a way to find the win mentality.
  • Gracie Howard: A 2x state champion at 170 pounds, Howard is a senior and a powerful athlete with the ability to dominate her way through tournaments.
  • Brooke Keller: A state champion at 190 pounds, Keller is a senior with a confidence in her wrestling that wins her big matches.

The Lady Mustangs also have a number of other wrestlers who are capable of making a run at the state tournament, including:

The Mountain Crest High School girls wrestling team is a perennial power in the state, and they are expected to be one of the top teams in the 4A classification again this year. With a strong returning core and a number of talented newcomers, the Lady Mustangs are poised to make another run at the state championship.

  • Continue to grow the girls wrestling program at Mountain Crest High School.
