Juab High School Girl's Wrestling Team Preview

The Juab Wasps are coming off a successful season in 2022, finishing second in the 3A state tournament. They return seven state placers, including GrayCee Wilkinson and Samantha Reynolds, who were both runners-up at state last year.

Wilkinson is a senior who wrestles at 125 pounds. She is a two-time state placer and is one of the top wrestlers in the state at her weight class. Reynolds is a junior who wrestles at 135 pounds. She is also a two-time state placer and is a dangerous wrestler who can score points in a hurry.

In addition to Wilkinson and Reynolds, the Wasps also have a number of other talented wrestlers who could make a run at a state title this year. These wrestlers include:

  • Junior Emily Shoemaker (105 pounds)
  • Junior Kyra Pay (120 pounds)
  • Junior Addison Johnson (135 pounds)
  • Sophomore Macee Ercanbrack (160 pounds)

The Wasps are led by head coach Billy Cox, who has been a staple in the growth of women’s wrestling in this state. Coach Billy has a wealth of experience and is a great motivator. He has the Wasps wrestling hard and focused on their goals.

The Wasps are a team to watch this year. They have the talent and the experience to compete for a state title. With Wilkinson and Reynolds leading the way, the Wasps are a force to be reckoned with.
