Westlake
Westlake has definitely made their presence know from the youth level to the High School Ranks as a team with star power and depth. These are 2 very important things to develop in a wrestling program in order to have success and Coach Newby and staff have worked hard to put themselves in a great position to be a contender for the foreseeable future.
Brayden Robison is gunning for his third state title and is a great leader for the Thunder. Korbin Chuchran was a state finalist the last 2 seasons and has been working hard this spring & summer to finish on top. Adding other super talented wrestlers like Josh Fish, Kaizen Detoles and Incoming Freshman Fargo All American Kaden Oldroyd to the Westlake mix will definitely pack a punch.
Westlake is still a relatively young program with a lot of upsides thanks to its club system. With Layton's depth pretty strong and only getting stronger can Westlake pack a strong enough punch to knock Layton off?
