On August 14th-15th, USA Utah will be hosting a coaches clinic at Telos U in Orem, UT. This Coaching Clinic is a two-day seminar where High School and Club Coaches will learn crucial coaching skills and techniques to help improve themselves & their teams. We will have college coaches along with some of our top high school and club coaches talk about how to build programs, show technique and many other topics to help you become a better coach. Dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday will be provided.

This is open to all coaches at any level and any state that wants to attend.

SESSION I

• Most important aspects to building a successful program
  • 10 min: off season wrestling - importance
  • 10 min: how to create community support and buy in
  • 10 min: – insight on how to recruit more participation

3:15 pm: How to build a feeder program

• 10 min (feeder program coaches – how to recruit more coaches)
• 10 min: How to develop a feeder program with all ages and levels – how to get numbers
• 10 min: Things you do to get numbers & how this has helped your program thrive

4:00pm: Success at the high school level

• Practice schedules, program structure, practice plans, program organization
•  How to build a program from a small community

4:30 pm: College Coach

• What he looks for in high school kids
• What can Utah coaches do to help kids get recruited
• Questions from coaches

5:00pm: College Coach

• Technique session

6:00 pm: Dinner

6:00-8:00pm: Girls Camp Session

SESSION II

9:00 am: Strength and conditioning-

• Importance of Strength and Conditioning
• what he does and how he can help
• Questions from coaches

9:45-10:30 am: Girls Wrestling

• How to build a girl’s program from the ground up

10:30 – 11:00am: College Coach

• What he looks for in high school kids
• Why should kids pick Junior College
• Questions from coaches

11:00 – 12:00 pm: UVU Coach

• D1 coach- (what he looks for in high school kids/ what can Utah coaches do to help kids get recruited/ Questions from coaches) Show technique as well

12:00 pm: How to peak your wrestlers

• How to keep athletes excited towards the end to help them peak, finish strong

12:30 – 1 pm: Lunch

2:00 – 4:00pm: Clinic for youth

Cost- 1 Coach $100, 2 Coaches $175, 3 Coaches $260, 4 Coaches $350, 5 Coaches $400, 6 Coaches $450
