3A Analysis: Scoring Best, the method actually used, versus scoring all would not have changed the team standing in the 1-9 spots.  Scoring did close the distance between teams 2-4 as Emery gained the most points with this method with 41 while Delta would have improved just 16.  There would have been a slight change in positions 10-12. Manti and Union tied using the scoring best method but Union would have moved to 10th place if the scoring all method would have been used.  Meanwhile Grantsville and Manti would have tied for 11th place as Grantsville would have moved up using the scoring all method. Positions 13-17 (tie) remain unchanged. Six or one-third of the teams in 3A produced a champion though one team (Juab) had half (7) of the champions. A total of 10 3A schools produced finalists.  Delta had great rounds in the consolations as the Rabbits only had one finalist/champion where third place Morgan produced four champions though two of them wrestled against each other and the second place wrestler didn’t put points in the standings. But Morgan even with the scoring all method, still would have finished  behind Delta. Emery actually placed the most wrestlers in the tournament with 13 as the champs Juab medaled 11.  But getting wrestlers in the finals  counts big and Juab had eight where Emery had two.
