The 2020 Heartland Duals will take place April 9th-11th in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We are excited to announce that we will be bringing a Women's team for the first time this year. This event is a premier duals event for our Girls that are 8th grade and down. In year's past we have held open wrestle offs with national teams, but this year, we will be taking a different approach but will still hold wrestle offs where necessary. Throughout the year most kids wrestle each other and top wrestlers are established. We will be selecting the top wrestlers based on performances throughout the year and then any wrestlers that would like to challenge for a spot needs to let Jade Rauser know by February 9th. Those that are challenging for a spot will have a wrestle off set up at the #1 wrestler's home town or a location of their choice. That means the challenging wrestler will have to travel to their location to challenge for the spot. Also, any wrestle offs that we do have, they will need to make scratch weight so that we know they can make it. 

Girls have until February 9th to request a challenge, the day after super state. After February 9th, you can not request a challenge. If you end up wrestling a challenger at youth super state, that will count as the wrestle off.

Cost for the trip: USA Wrestling Utah will be paying the team entry fee of $800 and for the Coach to attend. All other costs are of the wrestler. Parents/wrestlers will need to book their own flights and book own hotel rooms. We have a block of hotel rooms booked that you can use. The rooms are $119 a night.
