This meet up between 2 new faces in 6A will feature West Sophomore Superstar Drew Lang either is a rematch of last year’s 5A 113lb final against Josh Millward or against Hadley Cowan who was a finalist at 132 last season.
The Skyhawks will face a daunting opponent in the 12th ranked Westlake Thunder. Key Features: We could see Salem Hills Senior Heston Wood in his first test of the season against 6A 4th place Trent Taylor.
Last season, Maple Mountain Head Coach Max Sultan was an assistant at Mountain View. Can he lead the Golden eagles to a win in his coaching debut.
#17 Layton vs. #21 Skyridge
This will be the first test of the Skyridge Falcons in 6A. Layton is a perennial 6A power. Can the Falcons challenge? Quade Smith, Aiden Harris, Tyson Humpherys and Canyon Brann will try to make it a rough go for the team in Orange.
Riverton vs. Provo
The biggest question in this dual will focus on the biggest question on the Bulldog team, James Tomasi. The Provo big man has done Hydration Testing, can he follow that up last year’s Title this season?
Mountain View vs. ALA
As ALA and Mountain View face off we might get to see State Placers Justyn Mitchell and Eli Stafford face off. Andrew Fox might see his first action as an ALA Eagle, We might see Sage at 113, and get a chance to see Lukas Carillo at 132.
#21 Skyridge vs. Salem Hills
Round 3 features a rare Father vs. Son battle as new Salem Hills Head coach Blake Mangum will face his father Lyle who leads the Falcons. Someone else will have to help me with the last time that happened in Utah Wrestling.
#12 Westlake vs. #22 Maple Mountain
Westlake and Maple Mountain might get us some of the best matchups of the night. Declan Morris vs Tucker Butler, Cooper Cox vs Jacob Finlinson, Trent Taylor might have either Quinlan Jackson or Andrew Jensen. Either way, we’ll see some solid action.
Riverton vs. Mountain View
Watch for a lot of pins in this matchup of programs looking to make a jump into the next level of competition in Utah Wrestling.
Salem Hills vs. ALA
Dawson Wood vs Lukas Carrillo should be a fun one if it happens, look for a clash of styles with kids who have spent a lot of time wrestling each other.
Timpview vs. Provo
This matchup of cross-town rivals is dominated by Provo as convincingly as Timpview owns the Football match up.

This matchup might be the best dual of the week featuring two of Utah's best teams. This dual might end up with both teams in the high 30s and the dual coming down to the team that can get the most out of their Non-Marquis guys, and where kids fall weight wise this early. Some of Utah's best will step on the mat, unfortunately just not against each other. Lucas Cochran, Bridger Ricks, Josh Rassi, Cameron Eden, Tytan Smith and Jordan Davies have all earned top-end rankings and look to start the season out strong.
The first test for the Sentinels comes in the form of last season's new team in 5A the Farmington Phoenix. Mountain Ridge is tough and could pull out a win in this dual. Farmington is missing some key players because of injury. Parker Frasure will not wrestle. Austin Gillete will also miss this dual. Because of this, we miss a few possible matchups. You will get to see some solid wrestlers either way. #1 vs #4 in 5A at 106 should happen as Garcia and Waddoups face off.
