The 2019-2020 High School wrestling season is right around the corner and will be here before you know it. We couldn't wait any longer to dive in and start taking a look at each weight class and what we can expect  for this upcoming season.  These lists are only guesses and good reading so let us know where we might have missed someone and we will do our best to make adjustments and post updates as they happen.

113 pounds

  1. Quade Smith (Layton) Jr. - 2019 State Champion
  2. Blake Woolsey (Morgan) So - 2019 State 2nd
  3. Colin Sierer (Highland) Sr. - 2019 State 3rd
  4. Cal Christiansen (Fremont) So. - 2019 State 4th
  5. Raiden Harrison (Uintah) So. - 2019 State 3rd
  6. Colton Ward (Box Elder) Sr. - 2019 State 5th
  7. Hunter Brown (Skyridge) Sr. - 2019 State 5th
  8. Ethan Crittenden (North Summit) Jr. 2019 State Champion

At 113 pounds we have a clear #1 in Quade Smith. Quade was a double All American at the USA Freestyle and Greco Roman Nationals and will start the season at the top spot. His biggest competition will come from Morgan's sophomore Blake Woolsey. Unless some of the 120lbers move down or the 106lbers move up I see this as Quade's weight in 2019-2020.  Woolsey will try to improve upon his 2nd place finish at state and should be the top contender in the 3A for Morgan.

113 pounds doesn't look to be a very deep weight class and thins out quickly. Senior Colin Sierer starts at #3 and Cal Christiansen #4 who is a sophomore. Cal will be in the 6A and will be battling Quade for a state title while Colin should be the front runner in 5A with Colton Ward competing with him. Both will be seniors so this will be their last chance for that crown. Harrison will be the guy in the 4A and Hunter Brown will have to battle Smith and Cal in 6A. To round out the top 8 we have returning state champion Ethan Crittenden from North Summit.

With how thin this weight class is I would expect a few more to end up here and shake up the rankings.
